Obviously I don't hope for any flooding but it doesn't sound like it should be that bad. Probably won't do much for water levels but it might be a little muddy out there this weekend now!

A flash flood watch has been issued for portions of northeast North Dakota and northwest Minnesota, beginning at 7 p.m. and continuing through Tuesday morning, according to the National Weather Service office in Grand Forks.

Cities in the flash flood watch including Hallock, Stephen, Argyle and Warren, Minn.; and Cando, Langdon, Cavalier, Maddock, Leeds, Devils Lake, Grafton, New Rockford, Lakota and Adams.

Counties in the watch are Kittson and western Marshall in Minnesota, and Benson, Cavalier, Walsh, Eddy, Nelson, Pembina, Ramsey and Towner in North Dakota.

Numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected tonight, with some occurring on areas that already have received higher rain amounts, the weather service says.

Rain amounts from 2 to 3 inches are possible along and west of a line from New Rockford to Hallock.

The primary threat will be to low-lying and flood-prone areas, and areas with poor drainage, as well as urban areas, the weather service says.

A flash flood watch means that flooding is possible but not imminent in the watch area.

It's pretty dry everywhere...some places probably not bad, other places really bad. But from what I've seen many wetlands that once held water are dry now or close to it...mostly just bigger water that is left.
