I hope you can help me out. I am new to the ice fishing game and was wondering what vexilar you would buy. The fl-18 or the f8..If someone could tell me the adv. of spending the extra money on the fl-18 that would help me out. I fish a lot in the summer but now my daughter has told me we have to start ice fishing. We usually ice fish a couple times a year but she wants to go every weekend...Things could be worse!If you're new to the game, then the FL 8 should be just fine.
We stacked the 8 and the 18 head to head last weekend and the 18's advantages aren't major.
As long as we can see depths through the ice on the fly, and spot approaching fish...you're on your way.
