I am new to flocking your own decoys and was wondering at the end of the season can you just touch up the scratched parts of the flocking or do you have to do the whole head? Is there any difference in the flocking you get from the different companies. Thanks for any help.

Yes you can. Just a dab of adhesive on the worn spots and a sprinkle of flock will do the trick. You might be able to notice it up close, but by the time a goose does, it shouldn't matter...

If the heads are faded or really nicked up (which happens with time & use), I just do the entire thing. It only take a few seconds per head, and the extra layer of flock adds depth & realism...

I buy my flock & adhesive from Van ***** Taxidermy, at half the cost of kits sold by the waterfowl hunting outfits....
