The stock market was up around 2% Friday BEFORE approval of the bailout. After it was approved the stock market DROPPED 4% to a loss of 2%. Today the stock market opened at about 3% lower. The goverment bailout did NOTHING as the American people predicted except reward those companies for making stupid decisions. Please vote against your representatives and congressional members that voted yes, regardless of party. Everybody take a deep breath... it might take a while before financial conditions at the banks force the execs to suck it up and actually take part in the bailout. Those greedy SOBs are going to have to be dragged kicking and screaming to agree to the conditions, but I think it will happen. The party's over, even if they haven't quite realized it yet.
