For snows it is rare to decoy flocks with adult birds. The young ones are what will make or break your hunt. I have had little luck except under ideal conditions hunting the last feed from the roost. Better is to find an area with several feeds and get a field between the last feed and the roost. Lots of milling between the feeds and the roost is what I want. Others hunting different fields, birds getting jumped, vehicle traffic on the roads ect should keep the birds moving and provide the milling. Hunt a feed field if you can and be on the X if possible. If not get in the area and wait for traffic.
