Drove by Hobart on the 23rd and the 25th. No one was out on either side of the interstate. From every thing I heard there was summer kill on this lake, do to the lack of rain and heat. Its to bad that lake had some nice fish in it.

I kind of wonder about that. I've heard the same thing, but I'm not sure I believe it. I think everyone was out fishing early before the water turned over, so there wasn't much biting. I think if a guy got in there since it turned over you'll get into the fish.

Until a G&F bio. tells me otherwise, the fish are in there.

fished hobart on the 3rd of jan. and a local guy told me that the game and fish neted the lake because thier was an alge bloom late summer and they took 32000 perch to adams slough a few miles away. The alge bloom caused a lack of o--2 in the lake and caused summer kill to only a few fish good job to the game and fish!

Anybody ever try fishing Adam's Slough? Good close location to take the kids out.

I know it's shallow - perhaps 5 feet all the way across, but where do the perch hang out? Is winter kill an issue there yet?
