I took a trip to Bismarck today on business. Many snows, canadas and mallards along I-94 this morning about 7:00-9:30 am.
Was expecting the sky to be be full this afternoon. Didn't see anything from Bismarck to Fargo 2:00 - 4:30 pm. They must be flying in the morning and resting in the afternoon. Canadas are in pairs staking out sloughs for breeding. There are going to lots of canadas this Fall. One flock of mallards in a sunflower field must have numbered 2000. Tomorrow could be a great day for anyone that can sneak out in the late afternoon.
