Research shows the actual optimum rejuvenation period is every five to six years, not every three. Any movement forward from August 1 would move into the nesting season, why would you want that??? There is going to be plenty of interest in haying after August 1, have no fear of that. What this really means is that farmers can break up some of there existing forage crops and plant them into cereal grains. I agree, sounds like a great deal to me. :puke:

td, that is exactly what will happen. Us farmers call it the "code of the west". Prior to CRP, there were many farmers selling hay as a cash crop. That came to a screeching halt for most of them when so many started screaming for haying on CRP. And then reselling it. Very common, even last year.
