So i heard some guys talking bout some of their hunting for coyotes and they were talking about how they set up on a frozen lake. They said they freeze some meat in a hole they drill in the afternoon or the morning before they hunt and then they set up at night and call. Could this even work?[/b]

I don't think a little meat is going to draw them in very far, something like a deer carcass would. But coyotes like to travel frozen lakes and wetlands in the winter. It seems like they hunt the edges if there is a lot of brush or cattails. Easy traveling for them accross a lake that is wind blown if other areas have deep snow.
