Don't know if this is true or not and it doesn't really matter but I thought it's kind of funny due to the amount of coverage this guy is getting...

USAtoday:

As our colleague Ann Oldenburg writes at Lifeline Live, "With stardom comes the crash."

Joe the Plumber, he of some two dozen mentions in last night's presidential debate and probably closing in on that many media interviews, apparently isn't a licensed plumber. He may be registered to vote under a misspelling of his last name. Plus, there's a lien on him for nearly $1,200.

Republican John McCain, who made Joe famous, is trying to hook up with him anyway. Read all about it at the Toledo Blade and Politico and here and here as well.

Now comes a plumbers union, the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry, saying that John McCain "manufactured outrage" over Barack Obama's tax plan by talking about Joe the Plumber. A spokesperson for the union said, "John McCain made Joe the Plumber a household name. His manufactured outrage on behalf of Joe would be a lot more believable if his economic plan had anything to do with helping working people deal with the economic crisis." Apparently this union, which was endorsed Barack Obama (go figure), doesn't understand what tax cuts will do for our economy, or even worse, what Obama's tax increases will do. And I wouldn't consider the idea of putting a Marxist in the White House "manufactured outrage." It should scare the living dog squeeze out of you ... or at least, out of anyone who wants to make something of themselves and be successful.

So what is really going on here? We've got Joe Biden saying that Joe isn't a real plumber because he makes too much money. We've got nit-wits like the women on "The View" calling Joe's plan to own his own business a "fantasy." Don't you love that? Liberals view the dream of owning your own business a "fantasy!" We've got the plumbers union saying that John McCain is using Joe for "manufactured outrage." We've got the mainstream media reporting on Joe's tax returns. We've got rumors that Joe was a plant by the Republican Party. We've got liberals bloggers saying that Joe is really related to Charles Keating. :withstupid:

Notice that none of these people are actually talking about what Obama actually SAID to Joe the Plumber - the fact that he wants to "spread the wealth around" in a redistribution welfare scheme.

People are clamoring because, for the first time, John McCain has actually found a way to explain the asinine tax plans of the Chosen One. Look, folks. It's not like this is a new concept for politicians. Remember in the last debate, Obama and McCain both talked about the bracelets they wore from soldiers. In stump speeches, candidates refer to the waitress at the restaurant or that family in North Dakota that can't afford healthcare. Using real people has always been a way for politicians to "connect" to the voters ... but the difference is that this one has stuck. Here, finally, is a real "real people." And this "real people" wants to work hard and own his own business. This guy is nothing like the hopeless "real people" the Democrats like to parade around ... but he's very much like the average American with dreams and the determination to make them come true.

A plumber gets Obama away from his speech writers and teleprompter ... and look what we have. :eyeroll:

As expected, the McCain campaign has produced a Joe the Plumber commercial exposing Obama's Marxist tax policies.

Oh and in case you didn't know ... Joe the plumber is racist because he compared Barack Obama to Sammy Davis Jr. Who didn't see that coming :puke: .

heres McCains commercial

A tax lien??

Well lets look at Obama's campaign treasurer, Martin Nesbitt's tax lien:

It's more than "joe the plumber's" but nobody seems to care unless Obama's campaign is trying to smear someone.

Now who's "fake?"

Joe was a ill-informed conservative... his right-wing buddies probably told him that under Obama his taxes would go up when in realty they would not. And now people are feeling bad for this guy now because of the bad coverage? He made his own bed when he came to confront Obama....

i find it funny that everyone in the media or who backs obama wants to discredit who or what joe the plumber is. the bottom line that everyone should worry about is what obama said to joe about "spreading the wealth around and helping the guy behind you". that comment puts this country on the fast track to socialism, end of story. if i was mccain i would spend every dollar i have left by playing the audio of obama saying that

It's nothing more than spreading fear.

IF you don't like what we say, keep your mouth shut or we will turn your life into a public display.

Hypocrisy is okay because they ignore it within themselves.

Joe's tax lien = bad

Nesbit's tax lien = who cares

You are right. This fact is just another example how much McCain is out of touch. That plumber (or not) does not matter, because he is a little man anyway. However, McCain is the "prince", which can rescue him and alike little guys from high taxes. He does not care about him, indeed. He needed him only for his propagandist example.

Do you mean like Obama's bracelet? I don't know if any politician cares about any individuals beyond their relatives and friends. I do think as a group McCain does care about those working individuals like plumbers, electricians, carpenters etc. I believe Obama cares about people to. I think he cares about those he can use to gain power. I think who he cares about will change. Today he cares about the poor that he can trick into voting for him by promising money to them from those who have earned. Once in office I think he is so arrogant that he will see himself more as a king than a servant.

I seriously wonder if Obama will lay low for four years in the hopes of a second term. I don't know if he is that smart or if he will try for power beyond president in his first term. I seriously think this man is dangerous and with a democrat congress wanting to destroy the second amendment (they have proven this through their actions) and currently trying to undermine the first amendment (under the guise of fairness), we could be participating in our last election.

I seriously think this man thinks he is the one. Hitler thought he was so don't think it's impossible. I once had a psychology teacher say he thought their was a fine line between genius and madness. Sometimes the smartest people I know are a little of center. Especially the ones that brag about themselves. Watch them.
