Im new to varmint hunting.... Im thinking about getting a night light (primos?) for my scope and going up to my property in ny. I have no idea what to do. I need some tips on how getting some coyotes, foxs, or bobcats in and what calls work best at night? Also all i have is a .22, 12 gauge, and a 7mm..... What should I use...
Thanks

12 ga. with #4 buck or Hevi Shot Dead Coyote. Distress sounds usually work. Rabbit, bird, K-9 pup. Later in the season, coyote vocalizations. If you have a full moon and snow, night hunting isn't bad. I personally have had very little luck with a light.

I would put a tight choke on the 12ga. with some hevi shot dead coyote, bb, or #2 shot If your hunting in the woods. Pattern your gun to see what shoots best in it.

Another vote for a chocked down 12 ga. Id opt for 3" copper plated BB over 4 buck though.

Id stay away from a .22, even a mag. Youd need PERFECT shot placement every time, and well, at night, good luck with that.
