I was wondering what everyones thoughts are on feeder duck decoys in ponds. LIke the butt up decoys and what not. I am hunting some smaller ponds that have a lot of rice in them and they are shallow so I am putting up full bodies that are feeder but should I spend money to get the butt up decoys or just buy another dozen decoys?

I personally dont think that the butts matter at all. They won't hurt anything though. First you should fill get your spread where you want it and then start buying the butts

I've got a feww, but I don't think they really help much.
In a rice pond, i've found that the wind isn't much help either so spend your efforts on motion of some sort---jerk string ,mojo, or any of the others that might help keep your spread more realistic.

Thanks for the help guys it seems I should just buy a second mojo or some jerk strings since I have 6 doz duck decoys and dont want to get 90% butts caz that would be a lot of $$$$$$
