You may find some but you run the risk of pushing the puddlers of the roosting area's I would suggest farther north. You may find that locating an area that is between spots holding divers that pass shooting should be good, we do this from time to time.
Divers near La Moure area
I have motel reservations for four nights in La Moure in mid-October. Expect to do field hunting for puddlers mainly, but would be interested to know if there's any chance for divers in this area. We weren't even planning on bringing a boat. Just asking for any thoughts about divers within say 40 miles of La Moure.

You might want to try the big waters north of Jamestown, always good #'s of divers late in the year.
