Many of the big farmers are leasing to the G/Os They generally lease the whole farm acerage in a inclusive package. Most of these guys rent a lot of land they do not own all of what they farm. So they cash rent this land for lets say 30.00/acre then they rent the land to the G/O for 5.00 per acre. Do you think that these farmers are going back to the land owners and giving them a check for 1/2 of the money ? Are they putting this money in their pocket and not talking about it. Do you think 80 year old grandma Olsen even considers moneys from hunting rights? If grandma Olsen rents Joe farmer 300 acres he can pick up 1500 bucks. Should he split this with the owner? Do you believe they are doing this?

I do know of an instance of this happening,but I'm not sure how common it is.It's a shame though when the past generations get taken advantage of.
