No I don't have a picture because I missed it. I had 2 mallard "hens" land I the decoys yesterday. One looked a bit peculiar so I peeked through the blind with the binos. Initially I thought it might be a black duck but this hen had a definate gray beak with black highlights classic of a pintail and the head was darker, leaning toward chestnut but not with any green tinting or deep rust, classic of a mature greenhead or sprig. Most of the body had the mottled brown of a mallard hen with the standard blue spec on the wings. Here is what really got me. The tail section was full mallard coloration of black/green and white. Since I was bombed all morning by pintails I have to believe it was probably a mallard/pintail hybred of some sorts. I wish I would have had a camera.
