As I was chasing around the snow geese this saturday, I crossed the James river on highway 11 and to my amazement saw a bunch of bald eagles sitting on the ice, south of the bridge. Within about 3/4 of a mile I counted 20 of them and there might of been more that I didn't see. I managed to take a couple of pictures but my camara is a pile of junk. So I don't know how they will turn out. It was a pretty awesome sight to behold. :D

Hunters aren't the only ones taking advantage of the spring season. Eagles follow the migration north and south every year. They usually pick up our cripples.

Have seen sights similar to this in past years as well, although I have never seen 20. I did see 14 bald eagles a couple years ago, next to a feed of about 5000 mallards.....waiting for some fast food. More evidence that the bald eagles have made a remarkable comeback!

This is the first year I've ever seen more than two bald eagles at one time. My brother and I came across 13 or 14 this spring up by webster ND. We were both (my brother, myself, and the eagles) hunting snows. (I think the eagles did better than we did)
