Winter Fallout

I haven't been able to get back to ND the past two months but it seemed like the wildlife was doing well until February. Any thoughts on how bad the past month has been on the pheasants? I'm guessing the last storm was catastrophic in Sargent, Dickey and Ransom counties. Not sure if it would do any good to plant birds this spring or not to try and get a jump start on recovery or where a guy even buys some hens. I realize the survival rate is minimal, but may need to start somewhere.

yes......big time blizzard down there from Jamestown south......Kulm, Edgley, Ellendale area.....14-18 inches of snow with 40-50 mph winds. probably took care of the pheasnts down there. One good thing is that the birds would have still been in winter cover.

MY GF goes to Ellendale every week for work and says she is regularly seeing pheasants and deer along the road in that area.

I have actually been seeing more pheasants now, then before that storm. I do think that some of them did die in the storm though. Plenty of food for them in the fields though.
