I have and use an older Bushnell rangefinder, and it works fine out to 400 yards on whitetails, but can't seem to get a reading after that. I am planning on an Antelope hunt (already have the tag) in Wyoming this year, and one of the reasons I planned an Antelope hunt is because I want to make a longer range hit than what is possible here in Minnesota on public lands. I want to shoot one at over 500 yards. And yes I have practiced and am proficient to shoot past these ranges, as long as I know the distance. So, now I am in the market for a new rangefinder, something that will range deer or antelope out to 800 yards. Any recommendation (first hand please, and not something you read or heard from your dogs cousins owners nephew). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
P.S. -- I am looking for something under $700.
