Will UTG 4X32 Scope Fit a Crosman Phanton 1000?

by hellar » Mon Dec 13, 2010 4:28 pm

This is my very first Air Rifle. The only shooting i have ever done is skeet shooting. So when it comes to scopes and rifles, i have no idea. I was going to buy http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001BR ... PDKIKX0DER for my Crosman Phantom 1000. Does anyone know if this will fit? i dont know if all scopes fit all guns, or what sorry kinda new to this.

The Crossman Phantom 2000 has a 3/8" dovetail rail on the reciever. If I'm not mistaken that UTG scope comes with Weaver/Picatinny mounts ( 7/8"). There are adapters available for pretty cheap if you have your heart set on that scope but you have to keep in mind that an air rifle has dual recoil. It recoils both forward and backward. Most standard rifle scopes are not designed to withstand this type of recoil and will most likely break after a few shots.

If your looking for a cheap air rifle scope I would look into NcStar. Most of their entire line are Airgun rated and hold up to dual recoil.

I have been using this one with good results:

Happy shooting!
