i shot a bufflehead today and i am wondering if they are rare for north dakota? I am thinkin about getting it mounted.

No, they are not rare. Infact, they are very common BUT if its a good looking bird mount it if you want. I have one mounted.

At this time in the season, it should be a good duck to get mounted. They're not rare, but a pretty duck nonetheless. Don't hesitate to put it on the wall.
Banded birds are inferior to unbanded birds. If you don't believe this, then why were they dumb enough to be caught before being shot?

as other people said they are not rare. we shot a pile of them while we were out there. they are one of my favorite ducks to shoot, they are tough to hit, and a very cool looking duck. get it mounted. i got a couple in the freezer i have to get mounted

not to be that guy but......if you want a quality mount that will last and make people say "WOW!" take it the guy above, his work is second to none and not to mention he isn't TOO bad of a guy :wink:

thanks guys i think im am going to have to get it mounted. Rick what a beautiful mount. i live about 40 miles south of bismarck and am wondering how much it would cost for shipping to get it to you.
